FAQs

The questions we get asked most, answered plainly.

Funding, referrals, pricing and what actually happens when a physio turns up at your front door. If we haven't covered yours, just call and ask.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. Physiotherapy is a primary-contact profession in Australia, so you can call us directly. If your GP is involved in your care we'll happily keep them updated, and we work from surgeon protocols after an operation.

Can I use my Home Care Package to pay for this?

Yes — physiotherapy is a recognised clinical service under all four package levels. We invoice your approved provider directly, so there's usually nothing out of pocket. If you're unsure how much of your budget is available, tell us who your provider is and we'll help you ask the right question.

How does NDIS funding work here?

We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, billing at NDIS price-guide rates. Physiotherapy usually sits under Improved Daily Living or Capacity Building. Send us your goals and how your plan is managed and we'll confirm the rest.

What happens at the first visit?

It takes about an hour. We talk about what's changed and what you'd like to get back to, then assess strength, balance, walking, joints and the spaces you move through at home. You finish with two or three clear goals and a short plan in plain language.

Do I need equipment or space at home?

No. We bring the treatment table, weights, bands and any assessment gear. All we need is a chair, a bit of floor space and somewhere to walk a few metres.

How often will I be seen?

Most people start weekly or fortnightly while we build momentum, then space visits out as strength holds. It's your plan — we review it with you rather than locking you into a set number of sessions.

Will I see the same physio each time?

Yes. Continuity is the point. Nothing has to be explained twice, and progress is tracked by the person who set the goals with you.

I'm paying privately — what does it cost?

Private home visits are quoted upfront based on your suburb and the length of appointment, with no hidden travel charges inside our service areas. Private health rebates may apply depending on your extras cover.

Is it too late for me to get stronger?

No. Strength and balance respond to training at every age — the research on this is unambiguous. Progress may be slower to start, but it's progress, and it compounds.

Can my family or carer be involved?

Please do involve them. We coach the people around you so they know exactly how to help, and we write updates for family members and care coordinators as well as for you.

Still have a question?

Call us and speak to a physio, not a call centre. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
